Barbara has been painting for 25 years, 20 of these as a professional artist.Training: Mostly self taught, however Barbara has attended several courses both at learning institutions and with renowned professional international artists (University of South Africa, two years Fine Art or Michaelis School of Art Summer School).
She attended workshops with: Cheng Khee Chee, Dale Elliott, Derric Van Rensburg, Richard Rennie, Fiona Rowett, Karlyn Holman, Trevor Waugh, Alvaro Castagnet and Art Societies such as The Watercolour Society of South Africa, The Knysna Art Society, The Macalise Art Society, The Ulster Watercolour Society.

Barbara has held both solo exhibitions and group exhibitions internationally: annual solo exhibitions for several years in Knysna, South Africa, group exhibitions, Knysna Art Society, group exhibitions - selected works South African Art Society, group exhibition, University of South Africa, solo exhibitions, Cork, Ireland, Courtyard Gallery, Midleton.
Shows annually at the Wexford Opera Festival, Whites Hotel, The Cork Art Ireland Fair, Cork City Hall, The Dublin Art Ireland Fair RDS; solo Exhibition in Actons Hotel Kinsale; open Studio during Kinsale Arts Week.
She teaches watercolour classes on a regular basis. She has held Workshops in South Africa, Ireland, France, Italy and England and Florida, USA and has paintings in private and corporate collections around the world, and was commissioned to do a body of 150 paintings of birds of South Africa.
