Day Dreams and the resulting unconscious untold narratives and journeys is the inspiration for her most recent collection of work, as is the influence and power of music with its ability to transcend our thoughts, so as the mind wanders freely without control.
Deirdre Keohane's recent paintings explore the many journeys the mind takes and the connections encountered, the work embodies these joyful experiences, before all is elapsed in a moment in time. Her vivid dreams are utilised and translated in these pieces; she builds a three dimensional view through the use of carving, painting and mixed media to create depth and complexity, with many stories and moments intertwining and interlinked.
