Eugene Magowan's themes are Corrosion and History. He is based in Blackrock, Dublin, where his paintings can be seen in many venues in the village. He has exhibited with BlueLeaf gallery at Art Chicago, Art Toronto and Art Miami. He also exhibits with the Barbara Stanley gallery in London.
Magowan has held some very successful solo shows in Dublin, most recently, his 2010 show 'Something Very Important from Some Time Ago' sold well and received v good reviews. In 2005,he painted the Tiger Cow for the Jack & Jill Dublin Cow Parade which sold for eu11,500 at auction. His tiger cow image has also been used on a book cover.
Magowan is currently preparing a major new exhibition '100 years of Irish history' for 2016.
