Karen McSweeney lives and works as an artist and children’s author, splitting her time between Dublin and West Cork. Mother of three children, Caoimhe, Seán and little Saoírse-Rose, she loves children’s art, although she has created and exhibited lots and lots of ‘grown-up serious’ art over the years.
She mainly sells on a commission basis, however, she has sold at exhibitions including Gallery 51, The West Cork Arts Centre, completed works for Miniature Museum West Cork, her work has featured on RTÉ TV shows, and hangs on walls around Ireland, and in the UK, USA and Japan.
Karen is also a textile artist and registered with the crafts council of Ireland.
