Stop auto-refreshing Bids?Michael Dillon was born in Drogheda in 1957. He was educated at Glenstal Abbey School, Co Limerick, and was briefly at Trinity College Dublin studying French and Latin. He then trained in agriculture, working in Ireland, England, France and New Zealand .
It was in1986 that he started his career as a mural painter whilst assisting with the restoration of Newbridge House, Donabate, Co Dublin. The majority of his work has been for private patrons. Apart from many varied commissions in Ireland and England he has undertaken work in mainland Europe, the USA, the West Indies and Africa. He has used his versatile talent on many diverse projects: decorating luxury yachts, painting opera sets, hoardings, garden summer houses, swimming pools and helipads. Smaller commissions include conversation pieces, animal portraits, decorative invitations, posters and luxury packaging.
In November 2012 he had his first major solo exhibition at the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin.
