Pamela De Brí's work is about how memory and the past effects the present. Everything changes, yet how we live and our outlook on life is influenced by what has already happened.
The artist has taken inspiration from her current project to design her egg. This ongoing project consists of cycling around to all the stations on the former Midland Great Western Railway line that originated in Broadstone, Co Dublin and that once extended out across the midlands to the west of Ireland. She has chosen a small selection of hundreds of photographs to convey a sense of the places and people she visited on her journey, juxtaposing the remnants of the Celtic Tiger madness with a layer of society that never changed.
