Sally O’Sullivan graduated from NCAD in 2010 with a degree in textile design. During her time she learnt the various techniques of textile design including embroidery, weave and print as well as doing electives in painting, sculpture, fashion design and many other art forms which have contributed one way or another to her collection so far.
For her final degree show in NCAD, Sally mainly focused on fabric painting and embroidery on to wall hangings and smaller canvases, however she also embellished different objects including an antique suitcase, her great grandfather's riding boots and a vintage hat.
Since she has continued working onto objects which has progressed into clothing and accessories too. She loves giving something old a new lease of life as well as turning something newly bought into something original no one else will have.
